Adam Loftin handles the backbeat playing
drums and has been doing so for 16 years. He has played with different groups in rock, funk, blues and jazz genres.
His musical influences include Elvin Jones, James Brown, Led Zeppelin, Stan Getz, Nick Drake, KOOP and John Barry
compositions. Recently he has started branching out by writing music and playing piano. Adam has a BSE in Science
Education and an MS in Parks, Recreation and Tourism, both from the University of Missouri.
Bryan Helmig is another founding member and takes care of guitar and the occasional keyboard in the band. He began playing
before highschool, focusing on blues which later bloomed into a hearty mix of jazz, blues, and funk.
He spends most of his time working with music and technology and is the brilliant mind behind the website
you behold and another called Between the Licks.
Generally a care-free guy who's handsomeness is surpassed only by
his humbleness.
Chris Hawley is yet another original member of the band. He holds down
the tenor sax playing and the occasional clarinet part. As a Music
Education major at the University of Missouri Chris has been formally
educated in both Classical and Jazz saxophone playing, studying under
Leo Saguiguit. Aside from playing in Glass Cannon He also plays in
several of the MU’s bands including concert, marching, and big band
jazz.
Chris Barcroft is one of the older members of the band. I'm a self-taught bass player
with about four years experience. My favorite bands include Modest
Mouse, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Dave Matthews band. Other
hobbies include cooking and martial arts.
Anthony Jones is a newer member of Glass Cannon. I play the Alto Saxophone, I've been
playing for about 6 years. I play on a Selmer I'm interested in jazz,
blues, and funk. I really like playing waltzes and rushed ballads. I'd
like to get better at writing music.
